The middle of the line, where most heavy fleets actually sit.

A fleet with excavators, ag equipment, yard tractors, gensets, or Class 8 trucks without an accessible diagnostic port has had two options: an FC-201 that will not physically install, or an FC-501 OEM program that is over-scoped for a fleet that just wants location, J1939 data, and alerts. The FC-202 is the unit in between — sealed, hardwired, J1939-capable, with no Linux application development required.

Wires directly into vehicle power and the J1939 bus. Nothing to unplug, nothing hanging off a dash, and no dependence on an OBD-II port the machine may not have.

Reads the heavy-duty vehicle bus directly, and the enclosure is built to the J1455 environmental standard for on- and off-highway equipment.

On the standards language. MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-202 are test methodologies, not certification bodies. The FC-202 is tested following those protocols and meets the shock and vibration requirements of SAE J1455 — we do not describe it as "MIL-STD certified" or "military-grade." IP67 likewise means dust-tight and 30 minutes at one metre of immersion; it is not IP68 or IP69K, so no pressure-wash or permanent-submersion claims.
