Pricing questions

How much does iMatrix fleet tracking cost?
You pay once for the hardware and then a monthly plan for each device. Hardware starts at $49 for the FC-221 hardwired tracker and $53 for the FC-201 OBD-II plug-in tracker. Plans start at $7.99 a month: asset trackers and the FC-221 and FC-223 use Locate ($7.99) or Track ($11.99), and the FC-201 uses Track ($13.99) or Command ($18.99). The iMatrix Cloud platform is included in every plan.
How does iMatrix pricing compare with Samsara and Geotab?
An FC-201 on the Track plan costs $388.76 per vehicle over two years: $53 for the hardware plus 24 months at $13.99. Samsara and Geotab don't publish prices. Third-party estimates put Samsara at about $27 to $33 a month, or $648 to $792 per vehicle over two years before hardware, on contracts that typically run three to five years and can't be cancelled early. Geotab, sold through resellers, comes to about $700 to $1,110 per vehicle. For a 10-vehicle fleet that is $3,887.60 with iMatrix, against about $7,200 with Samsara and about $7,000 with Geotab: in this example roughly 46% and 44% less. Competitor figures are estimates, not quotes.
Is there a contract or a cancellation fee?
No. Monthly plans have no contract and no early-termination fee. Cancel any time and keep the hardware, which you bought outright.
Do I own the hardware?
Yes. You buy each device outright. It stays yours if you change or cancel your plan, and there is nothing to return.
Is cellular data included?
Yes. Every plan includes the EdgeUplink eSIM with Zone 1 (Europe) and Zone 2 (North America and more) coverage, so there is no separate data bill. Coverage in other zones is available on request. The FC-103, FC-111, FC-113, FC-115, FC-119, FC-221 and FC-223 are North America (Zone 2) releases today.
Do the environmental sensors need a subscription?
No. iMatrix Cloud is included with every environmental sensor, with no monthly fee. Sensors start at $24.99 for the NEO-1, and the Micro Gateway is $59.99. See Environmental Pricing for the full list.
