Shipping Container Tracking

Find any container in the yard, at the customer, or in between.

Containers are stacked, moved by other people, and left for months. A battery tracker inside the frame keeps reporting where each one is, whether or not it can see the sky.

  • Works stacked or covered
  • 19 Ah replaceable battery
  • IP67
  • $79 hardware
  • No contract
iMatrix FC-113 GPS asset tracker

Containers are simple. Keeping track of them is not.

📦

Inventory by walking the yard

Knowing which container is where means someone reading numbers off steel doors.

📅

Dwell you cannot prove

Detention and rental charges depend on how long a container sat somewhere, and that is rarely recorded.

🧱

Solar does not work in a stack

A container with another on top of it, or parked inside, gives a solar tracker nothing to charge from.

A battery tracker that does not need the sky.

1 · Mount a tracker on each container

The FC-113 snaps onto a magnetic mount on the steel frame, or a screw-fix plate.

2 · Daily check-ins, automatically

On the Locate plan each container reports its position once a day and sleeps in between.

3 · One map for every location

iMatrix Cloud shows every container with its location history, so you can see where it is and how long it has been there.

4 · Movement and geofence alerts

On the $11.99 plan a container reports when it moves and when it leaves a depot or customer site.

Shipping Container Tracking questions.

Will a tracker work on a stacked container?

Yes. The FC-113 is battery powered, so it does not need sunlight. GPS reception depends on the mounting position; a tracker with a view toward the open side of the stack locates best.

How is the tracker mounted?

The FC-113 snaps onto a mount. Use the magnetic mount ($14.95) on the steel frame, or the screw-fix mounting plate ($4.95). One mount is needed per tracker.

How long does the battery last?

It depends on how often the container reports. The Locate plan's once-a-day check-in uses the least power. Tell us your reporting interval and we will size it with you. A replacement pack is $23.95.

What does container tracking cost?

The FC-113 is $79 per container, plus a mount from $4.95 and a plan from $7.99 per month. There is no contract and you own the hardware.

Where does it work?

The FC-113 is a North America release. Every plan includes the iMatrix EdgeUplink eSIM with Zone 2 (North America) connectivity.
