iMatrix Environmental was built by engineers who'd watched the IoT industry optimize for vendor lock-in over customer outcomes. Sensors couldn't talk to competing clouds. Calibration certificates lived behind paywalls. Historical records disappeared when a contract lapsed.

We built this neighborhood on the opposite assumptions. Sensors expose their data in standard formats. Calibration certificates live in iMatrix Cloud for the life of the device. Historical readings export as raw JSON on demand — wherever you store the record next, it goes with you. And hardware lasts long enough that you're not re-buying on a three-year cycle.

When refrigerated cargo moves in a truck, the same Neo sensors that monitor a pharmacy fridge monitor the reefer trailer. Same hardware, different context. On the fleet side, we call this the Cold Chain solution — in-transit temperature, humidity, door events, and GPS on one timeline with FSMA-ready exports.

This is why customers running both a fleet and a facility use iMatrix: one vendor, one platform, one invoice. When the reefer pulls into the dock, the sensor readings flow from fleet-context to facility-context without re-provisioning.
