Elevate Safety and Independent Living

Supporting elderly loved ones living independently requires monitoring their comfort, safety, and caregiver activities without invading privacy. The iMatrix NEO-1, Sentry-1, and Micro Gateway provide a complete passive-monitoring solution.

Assisted living setting

Temperature and humidity for comfort

The NEO-1 monitors temperature and humidity to ensure comfort. Set upper and lower alert thresholds so loved ones never experience being too cold or too hot. The system compensates if they accidentally adjust the thermostat in the wrong direction — you get notified before the room drops to zero in a New England winter or climbs into the 90s during a heatwave.

Door and caregiver monitoring

The Sentry-1 monitors doors and windows for safety and energy savings. It alerts you when the front door opens and closes so you can confirm caregiver arrivals and departures — and verify they're completing their scheduled tasks.

Remote communication

You can call and provide instructions via the system, ensuring your loved one's needs are met and caregivers are accountable for their services. The monitoring creates accountability without feeling like surveillance.

Centralized cloud access

The Micro Gateway aggregates data from NEO-1 and Sentry-1 sensors, sending it to iMatrix Cloud for easy access from anywhere at any time. Family members in different cities all see the same live dashboard.

What this is — and isn't

This is passive environmental monitoring: conditions and door events. It doesn't use cameras, microphones, or location tracking. The goal is early warning, not surveillance — catching a furnace failure, an unplanned door opening at 3am, or a humidity spike that indicates a washing-machine leak.

The independent-living stack.
