The ideal conditions for cigars:
Optimally, cigars should be stored at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and 70% percent relative humidity. However, most cigars are fine when stored between 63 to 70 degrees. Relative humidity should go no lower than 65%, and no higher than 72%
Cigars stored in dry conditions show signs of cracking, especially in the outer paper layer. Not only that, cigars don’t taste the same, and may burn much more quickly when they dry out. The paper wrapper may even split entirely.
High humidity can also cause the paper wrapping of cigars to split. However, the bigger issue is often mold and mildew, which can render cigars unusable. Much like dried cigars, the burn isn’t even as it was intended to be.
